Hometown Hero Appliance Repair is celebrating its 30th anniversary!

Instead of quietly celebrating among ourselves, we’re bringing the celebration to the Omaha community with appliance tips and community service, all to show how thankful we are for your support these 30 years.

A Message from Hometown Hero’s President

In 1988, my grandparents, Doug and Anne Carlson, founded a little business called Nebraska Washer and Dryer Service, which they ran out of their home. I’m proud to say they were very good at what they did, and soon customers wanted more from this washer and dryer service they’d come to trust. So the two started hiring, rented space in a storefront at 83rd and Blondo, and the business began to grow. They moved again in ’93 to the current location in Cedarnole Plaza and continued growing.

Then, 23 years later in January of 2011, I acquired the business. Since taking over, we’ve made rigorous training for our technicians a priority, become an authorized warranty service for many more brands, and learned at every opportunity in order to provide better and better appliance service to the community we love. We truly want to be Omaha’s “Hometown Hero.”

Our 30-year anniversary is an opportune time to re-commit to our customers, doubling down on our drive for superior appliance repair services, while adding more value to our customers’ lives and to the community.

We look forward to celebrating another 30 years by staying true to our roots: being the “Hometown Hero” to all who are a part of our Hometown Hero family.

Todd Daganaar, President of Hometown Hero Appliance Repair
